Mind & Move is a welcoming space to nurture your mind and body.
I offer yoga, meditation, oncology yoga, and movement for every level and everyone. Both virtual and in person classes are available.
My passion for yoga and movement comes from many places. As a former professional dancer, I have found movement to always be a form of expression. I started with yoga to heal physical injuries. Along the way, I discovered it can also help heal the mind. As a cancer survivor, yoga helped me physically and mentally recover. Whether it is movement (asana practice) or meditation, it can help you navigate life's journey. No matter where you are, yoga can support you and empower you.
I look forward to sharing my practice with you.
Shannon is a certified yoga instructor and has her 200-hour teacher training certificate from Kripalu Center for Health and Healing. She is also certified with Yoga 4 Cancer, a leading program in specialized oncology yoga. Along with her background as a former professional dancer, she has been a dance instructor for 30 years, and she is excited to continue her love of teaching through yoga, meditation and oncology yoga classes.
Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension and promotes health. Regular practice improves breathing, increases endurance for other activities, and promotes mindfulness.
